Exactly what I was looking for!I bought this for a trip to the Renaissance Festival but will honestly be wearing in the fall as a regular part of my wardrobe (and I am considering getting it in another color because I like it so much). This is a comfortable dress featuring soft, stretchy, tshirt like material. It washes well. While many comment on the length and excess material of the arms, to me this was not the case. The strings are a bit long but that is easily remedied. For reference: I am 5’8”, 165lbs, 36D and I feel like the Large was the right fit for my body. I could not go any smaller but any bigger and I would have to cinch it in a deal which would change the shape/appeal I think.

Order at least one size largerGreat for Halloween. Not high-end fabric by any means. Runs small. This is NOT a dress.

  3. carla bates

Beautiful but tight fitLove the outfit just wish I would have ordered a size larger.

  4. Sue Whalen

Definitely order one size larger!!!!Perfect fit! I can’t wait to wear it to a Renaissance Fair in two weeks. ❤️

Dress fit, seems sloppyBought this dress for a Renaissance fair. For reference. I normally wear a size 12 petite and got the large. The strings weren’t looped into the holes and were SO long that I ended up having to trim them so they wouldn’t hang so long. The hood completely covered my head and the dress was quite long. The material felt incredibly cheap. It worked for what I needed it to do.

Runs very smallI had already sized up, anticipating it would run small, but even so it was still snug. I would doubly size up.

Throw Your Collegues for a Loop! So, I saw that some had issues with the loops for the lacing. I sew. I loaded my machine with upholstery thread (the heaviest thread that a regular home machine can handle) and reinforced the seams that hold the lacing loops as well as added additional stitching @ each loop. The only way these are going to go is if I’m attacked with scissors. It could happen. I have a strange job.The other trick that I’ve learned is to use double-sided satin ribbon. You can still lace and tighten but won’t deal with the issue of “sticky lacing” (lacing that won’t move with you during activity or just sitting). After I got all of that done including washing the garment, I donned my awesome new top that my hubby appreciates me in because I look like a character out of Assassin’s Creed. He’s not wrong, but that really wasn’t what I was going for.I stopped @ my last Iocal Mega-Supermarket (it’s Texas and ours is the last, accessible supermarket on before Galveston Island) to grab a couple bottles if wine to share with my fellow weirdos aka friends. One of my colleagues saw me when he was grabbing beer. Now, they send me quests. I’m a good sport and snagged some D&D dice as well as consult my oracle aka Magic 8 Ball.I still need to wear it when we have a casual clothing day.

Terrible fit.Product material is very stretchy and has no composure like the picture depicts. The shape is very unflattering. I ordered this last minute for an event, excited it would come in time and had to return it due to the fit. Decent quality material and stitching for the price. Too long, too bunchy, yet tight fitting material. Overall, very oddly shaped and doesn’t look like the picture.
