Good costume, worth the extra cost over the standard versionI purchased both this costume and the standard version, both in “Standard” size. Neither one of the costumes includes the wig or makeup. Of the two versions I much prefer this deluxe costume. For reference I am 5’11”, 195 lbs and wear a 42 Regular. The deluxe costume (Rubie’s #888736) uses a matte woven fabric that resembles suit-type material. The jacket has a single button closure, is snug in the armpits, but the sleeves are the correct length. If I button the jacket I need to suck in my gut in order to prevent it from stretching and pulling at the button. The lapels on the deluxe jacket have a much better appearance over the standard version but the jacket is not lined. The included dickie with tie comes down almost to the waist on the front and the back, and it has strings on the sides to tie it. I did not try on the pants but they use a cinch and tie closure. I plan on wearing my own white shirt and black tie to complete the look of the costume.EDIT: The pants have a Velcro closure and are a little snug and I needed to use a safety-pin to keep them from opening. The costume looked great at our Halloween party! The standard costume (Rubie’s #888735) on the other hand uses a shiny, satin-esque, very thin material. The jacket has a single dot of Velcro where the button should be and the lapels are backed with foam, which look like they will flip over to expose the reverse side and ruin the look of the costume. The included dickie with tie is very small, it only covers the front and ends just below the chest area. The jacket is snug in the armpits and the sleeves are too long, but sized correctly across the chest. Again, I did not try on the pants but they also have a cinch and tie closure similar to pajamas. The standard costume looked fine, but for me it was worth the extra cost for the deluxe version.

Great costume, but weird fitThis costume consists of pants, a jacket, and a dickey shirt w/tie.Pros: good canvas-like material, not flimsy or see-through. Looks great on. Pants have a velcro closure and zip front. Dickey is full-length front and back with side ties. Tie is attached to the dickey, and the back has a velcro closure, so it’s easy to put on.Cons: Jacket was a bit large, and the pants were a bit small. Kind of a strange combo, like they were mis-matched or something. However, I was able to wear the pants ok. Any smaller and I would’ve had to return them. The material looks bright and new, so I took the advice of other reviewers and mussed the jacket and dickey up a little bit. I used soot from the fireplace, and a few smudges of green and brown make-up. Worked great!Overall, this is a good costume. Again – be warned about the fit – I ordered the Standard size, and the pants barely fit me. (I usually wear a ladies 12-14 size.) I also ordered the Beetlejuice wig and makeup kit, and my costume was a hit at the party last nite.

Too small for large manGot the XL size for husband who is 6’ tall and weighs 240 lbs. It is very snug. Need to have a XXL size.

Best made costumeThis was my THIRD attempt at getting the Beetlejuice costume. First one ran too small. The second one I purchased was a different manufacturer, with the costume made of cheap, silky material, which made the suit coat kind of ‘limp”. Returned the 2nd one, ordered a larger size from the 1st company. Just got it & I am very happy with the material, shape & fit of the 3rd costume.

Looks ok but…It isn’t a bad product. I know its just a costume but it feels like you are wearing the cheapest material possible. The pants have no room if you have a butt or a crotch. I bought the standard size which size wise should be too big for me but it just barely fits. So expect it to run a little smaller then expected. It looks nice but you are going to sacrifice comfort to wear it.

Beetle Juice, Beetle Juice, Beetle Juice, Did someone call my name??This is not true to your size so if you are a standard large you will need the XL, still the button is tight. The Costume is made of good material, after you wash it you will still have to press it to get all the folds out it. Over all I’m pretty pleased with the costume..

Small as expected, but a great starting point! When I got it I knew it was gonna be a tight fit and I’d have to tailor it a little, I’m a bigger person so I’m used to this, and also not exactly shaped for men’s clothing. Perfect starting place for musical!beetlejuice, though you’d probably rather go with a real shirt instead of the dickie. Tie takes well to green fabric spray. Now to go rub it in the dirt till it looks like I just crawled out of the nietherworld.Edit: added picture. I aslo only ended up using the jacket, which stained like a dream!

Better fit and quality than expected on deluxe/standardFor the price, you can’t beat this deluxe version of the costume. I concur with most of the others on the overall quality being obviously less than that of a normal suit but it looks great, seems plenty durable, and is fairly lightweight, which I’m going to appreciate when I wear it out this weekend in the unseasonably warm Texas fall weather (80s). As far as fit, I’m a somewhat lanky 6′ 2″ at around 185lbs and surprisingly, the “standard” size fits me almost perfectly. (I wear a 33/34 pant and 42L jacket). I think most of the size complaints are about the width, not so much the length, so if you are fairly slender and tall, the “standard” is the way to go but if you are much over 6′ 3″ and/or over 200lbs, probably want to go “XL”. YMMV.The bib thing is better than I’d expected based on other reviews. I may still go with normal shirt and tie but this would definitely work too and will be cooler temperature than a normal shirt.

Doesn’t come with the WigBought this days ago and it arrived Today. Opened it up and was confused to see no wig. I then searched to see it doesn’t come with it, but clearly shows it as a full costume on the item.If you buy the wig, the full costume (with facepaint) will cost you in excess of £80!!!!!Us Brits don’t like Halloween that much.

Last minute party, but not good for a whole day event. My other half eventually grew to love this. The suit is a little scratchy but worked for the last minute party we attended. Was a little disappointed that the shirt wasn’t actually a shirt but more of a bib that tied under his arms and the pants were also a little tight around the hip so be warned its only velcro and zipper keeping them fastened. Would’ve also been great if it had been made clearer that it didn’t come with a wig.
